Add allowance for real site conditions
Subgrade variation, over-excavation, forms, pumping, and cleanup can increase actual use. The appropriate allowance depends on measurement confidence and project complexity.
Translate volume into the supplier’s order unit
Ready-mix is commonly ordered by volume with a supplier minimum. Bagged products use a labeled yield per bag. Confirm delivery access, placement time, and whether the quoted volume is before or after any rounding.
